Description
The Youth Hostel at Parque das Nações was built in 1998 to host young people from all over the globe who came to visit Expo 98. With the renovation of the east side of town, a whole range of facilities were created, much to the satisfaction of Lisbon's inhabitants. Young people were absolutely thrilled with the new possibility of having huge concerts in Pavilhão Atlântico, visiting the theme pavillions and Lisbon's Oceanarium, or even going bowling. This is the Lisbon of the future, organized and lively.
 
 
Youth Hostel Conditions: Please read carefully the General Conditons of Nacional Youth Tourism Network. Please do not forget to carry your personal bath towel and hygiene items. In order to stay in a Youth Hostel you must present a Youth Hostel Membership Card upon arrival. If you do not already possess one kindly note that Membership Cards must be purchased at the Youth Hostel upon arrival. Cards are valid for up to one year and cost 6,00 euros (per person).
 
Accommodation and Tours: All bookings must be fully prepaid. Requests received without payment will not be considered. Upon payment an official confirmation letter will be sent. Cancellations received before June 25th 2010 will be refunded after the congress, minus € 25,00 administrative fees. After this date no refunds will be made. All refunds will be processed until 60 days after the Congress.
 
Rates are in Euros (€) per room, per night , including breakfast, VAT and taxes. These special rates are available only if booking is made and paid through Top Atlântico DMC. Reservation requests will be confirmed on a first come, first served basis. If your choice is no longer available a similar alternative accommodation will be offered.
 
General Conditons of National Youth Tourism Network

The National Youth Tourism Network includes several types of accommodation managed by Movijovem. These meeting places enable people from different regions and cultures to get together - regardless of age, nationality, beliefs or ideology. They encourage the aim of promoting exchange and travel amongst young people. Located in places of historical and cultural interest, they also provide facilities for sports and leisure activities.

Terms and Conditions
• The Hostelling International Card is obligatory if you want to use or stay in any Youth hostel, in Portugal or worldwide.
• In Portugal, the Euro 26 Youth Card permits you to stay in Youth Hostels and entitles you to obtain a Hostelling International Card.
• The Hostelling International Card is valid for 1 year (12 months) from the date of issue.
• Movijovem is entitled to retain this Card in the case of inappropriate behaviour by the card holder.
• If a Card is lost, a duplicate may be issued if the original receipt (voucher) is presented.
• Shared rooms (incl dormitories) may be occupied by hostellers belonging to different groups or by those travelling alone. Bed allocation for hostellers is the responsibility of the Youth Hostel.
• When staying in shared rooms, bath towels are not available. Bed-linen must be collected from the reception and hostellers are responsible for keeping their beds tidy.
• In double rooms, bath towels are available.
• Rooms must be vacated for cleaning from 12h00 to 18h00.
• Clean linen is provided every 3 days.
• Self catering and laundry facilities, if available, give hostellers the opportunity to self-cater and to do laundry.
• Instructions for the use of any available equipment should be requested at the Hostel reception.
• Eating, drinking and smoking are not allowed in bedrooms.
• Silence must be observed during the night (after mid-night).
• Any damage caused is entirely the responsibility of those concerned.
• Non-observance of these rules may result in forfeiture of your Hostelling International Card.
• Movijovem is not liable for any damage to customers’ property while customers are using the Youth Hostels’ facilities.
• Personal belongings left or forgotten in the rooms will be retrieved by hostel staff and stored. On payment of a fee, Hostellers may re-claim belongings within 48 hours, if able to prove ownership.
